Join us for our introductory webinar– Ag101! This online webinar will build the foundation you need to understand row crop production.

We’re divvying this session into four different topics – introduction to global row crops, agronomy & how plants grow, a deep dive into farm operations over the crop year, the economics of farming and farmland, and the difference between the two. Afterward, we’ll discuss what we’ve learned together through a panel and interactive break-out rooms. Plus, you’ll hear from two Midwestern farmers who are ready to answer your questions.

Speakers

  • Brett Haas

    Brett Haas is a 4th generation corn and soybean farmer from central Illinois. He graduated with a degree in Crop Science from the University of Illinois. Brett was a co-founder of CropCopter, a drone-based aerial imagery company and has been involved with the launch of Verdova, a grower-founded farm data trust that enables farmers to aggregate and sell their farm data.

  • Steve Pitstick

    Steve Pitstick is a corn and soybean farmer from northern Illinois. He served on the Kane County Farmland Protection Commission and the Kane County Farm Bureau. Steve is a graduate of the Illinois Ag Leadership Program and is currently the Chairman of the Illinois Soybean Association. Additionally, Steve has experience advising agtech startups and beta-testing agtechnologies.

  • Jonah Kolb

    As the President of Moore & Warner Ag Group, LLC, Jonah Kolb is an Accredited Farm Manager who works with private and institutional clients to build and manage direct farmland portfolios. He also advises start-ups, Fortune 100 companies, and investment funds pursuing opportunities in production ag and agribusiness. Jonah is a frequent speaker on AgTech and the future of American row crop farming.

  • Haley Wade

    Haley Wade is a graduate of Millikin University where she earned a bachelor’s degree focused on business and communications. Haley was raised on a grain and livestock farm near Warrensburg, IL. She brings with her over a decade of grain industry experience, starting as a Grain Originator for Topflight Grain Cooperative and later as a Grain Merchandiser for Clarkson Grain Company, Inc. Haley serves as a Farm Manager at Moore & Warner Farm Real Estate, LLC.
